Not fixed automatically structure, table

What veraPDF reports

Table columns 1 and %1 span different number of rows

veraPDF rule 7.2-41 = ISO 14289-1:2014 clause 7.2, test 41, checked on PDF object SETable.

In Adobe Acrobat’s Accessibility Checker the closest item is “Regularity”.

What the requirement says

Table columns shall have the same number of rows (taking into account row spans)

Can it be fixed automatically?

Not fixed automatically. This failure needs the authoring tool or manual remediation; the automatic fix does not change it.

How to fix it by hand

Table tags are fixed in the structure tree: mark header rows/cells in the authoring application before export (e.g. “repeat as header row” in Word), or correct the table tags and header cells in a PDF editor's tag tree / table editor.
