PDF/UA-1 rule 7.4.4-3: Document uses Hn tags in presence of H tags
Not fixed automaticallystructure, heading
What veraPDF reports
Document uses Hn tags in presence of H tags
veraPDF rule 7.4.4-3 = ISO 14289-1:2014 clause 7.4.4, test 3, checked on PDF object SEHn.
What the requirement says
All documents shall be either strongly or weakly structured, but not both
Can it be fixed automatically?
Not fixed automatically. This failure needs the authoring tool or manual remediation; the automatic fix does not change it.
How to fix it by hand
Heading tags come from heading styles in the source document (Heading 1, Heading 2 … without skipping levels); correct the tag tree if the export mixed H and H1–H6.
